Acceptable Use Policy

Effective: May 23, 2026  ·  Back to legal index

This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") governs your conduct while using the Services. Violation may result in suspension, termination, license revocation, refund denial, and/or referral to law enforcement.

1. You are responsible for your content

The Software plays, records, captures, and streams media that you load or fetch. Ultiplay does not pre-screen, host, monitor, or moderate that content. You are solely responsible for ensuring you have all necessary rights, licenses, and permissions to use that content with the Software, and that your use of any third-party service the Software interacts with complies with that service's terms of service.

2. Prohibited conduct

You may NOT use the Services to:

  • (a) infringe any patent, trademark, trade secret, copyright, right of publicity, or other intellectual-property right;
  • (b) violate any applicable law, regulation, court order, or third-party right, including privacy and data-protection laws;
  • (c) record, capture, or distribute any content you do not have the legal right to record, capture, or distribute, including content protected by anti-circumvention provisions of the DMCA (17 U.S.C. § 1201) where you do not qualify for a statutory or regulatory exemption;
  • (d) circumvent or attempt to circumvent any technological protection measure on third-party content (consistent with applicable law);
  • (e) create, store, transmit, or display content that is illegal in your jurisdiction or in the United States, including but not limited to child sexual abuse material (CSAM), content that solicits or facilitates exploitation of minors, content that incites violence, or content that constitutes harassment or stalking;
  • (f) harass, threaten, defame, or invade the privacy of any person;
  • (g) introduce malware, viruses, or other harmful code, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to any system, account, network, or data;
  • (h) probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of Ultiplay's systems without prior written permission, or disrupt or interfere with the Services or any user's enjoyment of them;
  • (i) scrape, harvest, or collect information from the Services using automated means except via interfaces we have explicitly authorized;
  • (j) use the Free Tier in any commercial setting (see EULA § 1.2); or
  • (k) use the Services to violate the terms of service of any third-party platform you access through them (including but not limited to YouTube, Twitch, and any other site reachable via the Software's URL input or yt-dlp integration).

3. Reporting abuse

To report a suspected violation of this AUP, email abuse@ultiplay.net with as much detail as possible. To report alleged copyright infringement, follow the DMCA procedure.

4. Investigations and cooperation

We may investigate suspected violations and cooperate with law enforcement and rights holders as required by law. We may preserve and disclose information about you and your use of the Services if we reasonably believe it is necessary to investigate a violation or comply with legal process.

5. Consequences

We reserve the right to suspend access, revoke licenses, refuse refunds, blacklist devices, and pursue any other remedy available at law for AUP violations.
